We offer a variety of Puppet
Building Workshops that can be tailored to each group.
Rod Puppet Workshop
Grades 1-4
Our Most popular! 60 MINUTES. We
bring all the supplies! Each Participant will create
their own rod puppet. The puppet is made out of a
wooden spoon, and a fabric body with moveable arms
and head. The participants will have a variety of
supplies to create their characters, such as
feathers, yarn, felt, floam and googly-eyes. It's a
great way to get started building puppets.
FEE: $225.00, plus
supplies/ $125.00 for each additional workshop
(minimum: 4 workshops per day or one show and one
workshop)

Shadow Puppet Workshop
grades 2& up
60 Minutes! We bring all the
supplies! Participants, with the help of The Puppet
People, will work in small groups and will create
their own shadow puppet show. They will make the
shadow characters and then perform their story for
the entire group.
FEE: $225.00, plus supplies/
$125.00 for each additional workshop (minimum: 4
workshops per day or one show and one workshop)
Parade Puppet Workshop
Grades 4 & up
3 DAY! Participants will create
a large (7-10 ft.) parade puppet. Learn group
participation, sculpting and painting basics,
sewing, and most of all having fun creating
something.
Great for school mascots
or community events
FEE: $750.00 a day, plus
supplies.
Puppet Operation
Techniques
Grades 2 & up
45-60 MINUTES! So you have made
your puppet, now what? Participants will learn
various techniques for bringing their puppets to
life. They will work individually and in pairs,
ending with a mini performance demonstrating their
newly acquired skills! Practice puppets can be
provided if needed.
FEE: $225.00, plus
supplies/ $125.00 for each additional workshop
(minimum: 4 workshops per day or one show and one
workshop)
Residencies
The Puppet people can
create a custom residency that fits your curriculum
and your special needs. Just give us a
call .
Custom
residencies have included more complicated puppets
(Marionettes), script writing and performing.
